Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This feast invites imitation of Mary's charity. She immediately thinks of her cousin's needs instead of focusing on her own life changes.
The Annunciation and the Visitation are also beautiful days that illustrate the life alive inside of Mary's and St. Elizabeth's wombs -- very pro-life feast days.
To help out or donate items to a crisis pregnancy center, help a mother with a new baby or pregnancy, pray at the local abortion clinic, etc.

For Marian Ideas, for the Month dedicated to Our Lady:

I'm preparing our blue tablecloths for our dining room table. I also found some lovely vintage handkerchiefs and napkins that I will use to put under a statue or two of Mary in prominent places to mark her month.

Our homeschool group will have a May Crowing. My mother used to have a small crown of flowers to crown our statue that was kept in the middle of the dinner table all month long. I wish I could find the flowers she used. They were small, pastel, stiffened cloth, on taped wire stems that she made into a crown.

We always listen to our Handmaiden of the Lord, Volumes I and II cds from Daughters of St. Paul, and I pick one Marian song to learn for the month. We've been doing "Regina Coeli" in chant for Easter. I think we might sing "Salve Regina" this month.

Here are from past threads. I don't know if I'll have time to do May day baskets, or not.

A nice prayer practice during May would be trying to pray the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Available in book form. I have a beautiful one printed by Bruce Publishing Company in 1944, but there is a small one in print.

Last year for Pentecost we made a candle and a banner.

I bought a glass candle holder at the dollar store and then we glued tissue paper to the outside of it. We used a mixture of Elmer's glue and water and then painted a thin coating on the glass and stuck on the tissue paper. We did another layer of the glue over the top to seal it.

For the banner we used felt.

Today is the feast of St. Pascal Baylon on the Traditional Calendar. I completely forgot!

This would be the day to read Pascual and the Kitchen Angels by Tomie de Paola. This is one of my favorites! Not too late to read for bedtime!

Does anyone have any ideas to help celebrate Our Lady Help of Christians feast day on 24th May?

Our Lady Help of Christians is also the parton saint of Australia.

I keep forgetting to put up the link for Erin's Faith Filled Days in the Domestic Church. She includes a link for an idea for Our Lady Help of Christians.

Aussie Annie at Under the Starry Mantle has quite a few posts referring to Our Lady Help of Christians.

Monday is May 31, the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to her cousin Elizabeth.

May 31: Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Feast

::Catholic Culture: Visitation
