Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am thinking of doing this next year. Cay has a great list in Picture Perfect Childhood. Does anyone know of any other lists by country that exist online?

I have been gradually putting one together. It leans more towards UK published books, but may still be useful:

Marilyn

Are you mainly wanting to focus on picture books? Or are you wanting chapter books for your older ones as well?

You've really spurred me on, when I closed down my website I had hundreds of Australian books listed I just haven't transferred them to my blog, Aussie Book Threads. If you tell me your focus I'll get started downloading.

One of the hardest things when listing books is I am so conscious that so many books are harder for Americans to locate if they are out of print.

Kathryn,

I just had a look at your site, it's great I love it.
Is googlepages a website or a blog or what?
In a way part of why I am lagging in my blog is that a blog isn't really right for large lists but I found the website forum really difficult to manage. Pages just wouldn't behave.

I found the same - a blog doesn't work well for lists and keeping large chunks of text together.

Google Page Creator is Google's quick-and-easy website builder. It doesn't do anything fancy, but for text based pages it works pretty well. You don't have to bother with file transfer software or uploading pages, and can work on it using any computer. I hit problems with editing my old site when I switched from a PC to a Mac, so I am gradually switching it to Google Pages.

Thank you, thank you . This is such an easy site to work with. It reminds me in many ways of blogger. I have already started Thank you Marilyn for giving me the impetus.
