Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Okay, who is still touring the continents?    Or are the rest of you done already?

What did you do? What do you plan to do? Share it here!

We're going into week 2 of Tour Antarctica, so we'll be starting our tour of Europe on April 2nd. There are a ton of books and activities to choose from--I'm going to have a hard time not over-planning this one!

Here's what I'm thinking about so far:

Read European fairy tales
Read Mary Fabyan Windeatt's book on St. Therese out loud

Read picture books set in Europe:
Madeline
The Story of an English Village
The Story of Ferdinand
Red Sails to Capri (I think this is a picture book--haven't looked at it yet)
Tomie dePaola's books on St. Francis and St. Patrick

I have a long list of read-alouds to choose from...I really want to read Heidi, but I'm not sure we'll have time...

Have a European meal/dessert--lots of possibilities there--dh wants me to fix haggis

Look through my pictures of my trips to Europe and Gran's trip to Rome!

Dawn

Dawn,
I think we're going to skip Europe this year. I plan to do a Beatrix Potter unit after Easter. Then we may tour Asia in the middle of May or in the beginning of June. That's if we aren't still working on First Communion and if we're not really into something else. If we do it, I'll post here. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
