I picked up four candles to represent the four sets of mysteries in the Holy Rosary. I hope to use them as an incentive to praying an additional Rosary this month.
I have pictures and more at my blog.

I thought of you (here at 4real) when I read from the breviary today this prayer for the Feast of the HOly Rosary:
Holy and immaculate virgin Mary, you are the glorious queen of the world; may all who celebrate your feastday know the help of your prayers.
Happy feast day!

Helen, I love the candle idea. Our goal is a family rosary each day of October - so far so good! Thanks you!

I have tried to remember to read G.K. Chesterton's Lepanto with dd in honor of this Feast in past years. Well, this year I found a fabulous audio version by Maria Lectrix - Lepanto.
Happy Feast Day and Enjoy!

Besides Charlotte's coloring page, here are a few:
Coloring the Rosary
Printable Sheet
Domestic Church Activity
Not exactly an activity, but Garden Way of the Rosary
I have some Mysteries of the Rosary, but they do not include the Luminous.
This website from St. John's in Front Royal has some lovely rosary coloring pages, too.

We are making paper beads today to use in making some rosaries (maybe just a tenner). They really are turning out so pretty. I will post an update later once they have dried.

Thank you so much for this link. What a treasure! I still haven't listened to Lepanto, but I remembered your reference this morning. We are listening to Story of a Soul today (St. Therese feast day), and she is a delightful narrator.

I found these great emblems of Our Lady to use on our "sails" for our potato vessels. The boys especially like "It Will Never Fail" and "I Dread the Virgin's Foot". These emblems were painted after the Battle of Lepanto, in the mid-1600's, but I think they must be similar to the types of images used in the 16th century.
ETA: click the "return to the twelve emblems" link to see all twelve...kind of posted the wrong link there!
Also, here is a nice image of OL of Guadalupe to copy. I know that an image of OL of Guadalupe was carried into the battle, so that might be good for a sail as well.

We were venerating the relics of St Therese this morning (at 4am!) and took part at the Mass for the feast. It was so nice because we were able to take our rosaries to touch them to the reliquary - which was a nice, simple way for us to mark the day. (I always feel so inept when I read the happy things things others do )

We celebrated this beautiful day at the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes with one of dear priests, some wonderful homeschooling families and some of the older folks of our parish. We prayed the rosary, attended Mass (Father Leo concelebrated with our priest), enjoyed a picnic lunch and received a lovely blessing. Father Leo was terrific! He gave a great homily on the awesome power of the rosary. It was very inspiring--maybe just the thing to get us back into our family rosary.
My ds11 wants to get out the sidewalk chalk and make a huge chalk rosary out on our driveway!
