Beautiful!!
But no maples here. And, well, no leaves at all any more...

Theresa, I saw your snowy, snowy pictures! They won't work for us either, the only colored leaves I've seen are Sea Grapes and they are so thick they'd crack and snap. Though I do love that old story of them being Cuban playing cards, I can just picture an old table with guys and cigars under the sea grapes and goodness knows they are just about the right thickness when dried. I'm itching for a black sharpie now...

Oh but we have lots of maples (no oaks or acorns ) - I'm excited to give this a try. Thanks!

I am definitely going to try this! We have tons of really pretty red maple leaves in the front yard. I was just wondering today if there was anything to do with them before the backbreaking labor of fall cleanup.

Oh, let us know if you do and take pictures too, Chris!
ETA: And you too, Mary and Stef and anybody else with a crafty bone in their body and a lovely autumn tree outside their window!

Well, I don't consider myself too crafty, but I just tried one for kicks and it was surprisingly easy!. I think I may try to make the bouqet that is pictured for Our Lady of The Rosary tomorrow... it would be nice to take a nature walk collecting leaves and work on these over a cup of tea in the afternoon. Will post pics on the blog if we have success!

We made one rose today for Our Blessed Mother, and it was so easy and "do-able". Hopefully, in the next few days we will find the time to make a bouquet.
You can see it here at the bottom of today's post.

Joann, I've been out of town but I'm so glad you posted the link, it is soooo pretty! I can't get over how "real" the roses look.
