Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just ordered and received February's Magnifikid. I really like what I see but I'm not sure I'm using it correctly or to it's fullest potential. We read the February 3rd edition before that week's mass but since it was our first one, we were mainly getting familiar with it- and then Ash Wednesday's on Ash Wednesday. We haven't taken it with us to mass yet since we've been passing around a cold and missed last Sunday and Ash Wednesday but I'd really like to use it to "prep" the kids for what they'll hear on Sunday. Now, tomorrow is Sunday and we won't be going to our regular church due to an obligation to help out with Scout Sunday at a different church (not Catholic) so I thought I'd go over this week's edition with my boys tomorrow- in lieu of mass yet again. Wow, long explanation, sorry! My question is, for those who use Magnifikid or another similar publication, how do you use it? Do you take it to mass? Do you go over it during the week? Do the morning/evening prayers go for the week before that mass reading or the week after? Am I over-thinking this? Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I'd love suggestions for what, if anything you use for adult study?
Thanks so much!
Jen

Hello & welcome, Jen.

It varies in my home. Depending on our week, I may read it to my children in one sitting, break up the readings over two days, or my oldest will read it to us.

Here are two threads about using the Magnifikid.

Magnifikid

How do you use the Magnifikid?

Thank you so much Michaela!
Both posts were exactly what I was looking for. I must not know how to use the search correctly yet- LOL- I thought I'd searched but didn't come up with anything. I appreciate that there are many different ways to use magnifikid- I worried that I was "messing up" by breaking it into a couple of days, but I've yet to schedule enough time to read it all in one sitting. Thank you again!
