Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Bad news first:

Hubby still has fever. The culture came back and it's a staph infection. His dr. is on vacation and won't be back 'til Friday, so it's the partner that's been taking care of him.

The good news:

He's being released!!!!! The kids and I are jumping for joy, and can't wait to have Daddy home!!!!!    Aisa brought the guitar to the hosp. yesterday and we sang praise songs with Dad, and the boys have been bringing him their scouting stuff, so that has kept him looking forward to things. Overall they've been very good kids despite the frustration and missing Daddy and worrying about him.

We're not completely out of the woods yet because that pesky fever needs to go. And we have to watch things carefully to make sure it doesn't turn to MRSA. But things are looking up, and your prayers have been answered along with ours. Thank you, thank you, thank you... for all of your prayers and support.

- there isn't a "tears of joy" icon or i would have used it
