What books have your toddlers absolutely LOVED? You know  .....the ONE book that your toddler wants to read a MILLION times a day for months on end? 
Here are ours:
dd #1: Moondance
dd #2: Ask Mr. Bear and I Went Walking
dd #3: Goodnight Goodnight Sleepyhead
And, current toddler's favorite is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
We just did a "DAY of 'Brown Bear'" ala Peak with Books. My 2-year-old was bubbling over with excitement the whole day....a WHOLE day with everyone talking about her favorite book  What could be better?

My oldest son loved Goodnight Moon. My 18 month old loves Prayer for a Child. If he's in another room and I start reading it he'll coming running with a huge grin on his face. It's adorable.

In addition to some of the titles mentioned above, Big Red Barn by Margaret Wise Brown has always been a favorite with my toddlers.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar, We're Going on a Bear Hunt and The Tiger that Came to Tea (Judith Kerr) have been the outright favourites here.

Big Machines (a book about big trucks that make a park where a factory once was) - my 2 1/2 yr old son LOVES it!

My first's favorites, I would say, were The Lion and the Little Red Bird by Elisa Kleven, The Big Red Barn by Margaret Wise Brown and anything by Virginia Burton. He just loved to be read to though and would sit for just about anything I would read to him.
My second son is a different story. Until recently he didn't like to sit and snuggle to read any favorites. He is now 2 and a half and does unit studies of his own. LOL His recent topics of discovery have been football, robots, and now construction vehicles.
Thanks for mentioning "Big Machines" we picked it up at the library today and he loves it!

No tine for links--Brown Bear, Jesse Bear, Silly Sally, The Napping House, Dr. Seuss' The Shape of Me, Clap Your Hands, Quick as a Cricket, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Grouchy Ladybug, The Very Lonely Firefly....Usborne Feely Books--especially the tractor one...and You Can Drive a Tractor...and My First Tractors...and other horribly written tractor books that my now 5 year old has made us read day in and day out for three years running!

My two year old LOVES the "Little Quack" stories by Lauren Thompson and Derek Anderson. The original "Little Quack" is her favorite. She has them all memorized and we read them every day

All my 2yos have lovedHUG, Jesse Bear, Jamberry and The Gruffalo. My current (almost) 2yo is absolutely bonkers over a Baby Bible that I can't find on Amazon right now. I'll post it later after I have some coffee!
On this subject, are there any books not listed here that you would buy a 2yo for their birthday? I have most of the ones listed her, already. It is getting tough to find things to get Saragh, being the the fifth child, we have everything already!

All of the Sandra Boynton books have been hits here, as well as Eric Carle board books and Byron Barton board books. The Karen Katz books are also well loved by the toddler set, but can be tedious for mom.

Son #4 - there wasn't one, he really didn't have that phase with a book. I hate to admit this but he had this phase with a video (Toy Story)  .

Oh, there are so many they love, some of which have been mentinoed here, such as Brown Bear, Brown Bear (Carle). They love the George Brundage's Catholic books, Courduroy's Day, Icky Bug Counting Book, Mouse Count, and so many more.

As young toddlers, our children loved Baby Outside by Neil Ricklen (no story, just a word book with photos), and Thank You God, published by Brimax.
Around 18 months to 2 years, DD1 was infatuated with Richard Scarry's Mother Goose Ever. (We also have a couple of traditional editions of Mother Goose, but they didn't interest her nearly as much.) DS's favorite was Snow Day by Betsy and Giulio Maestro. It's hard to find good picture books about heavy machinery, and this one holds up well even on the 300th reading.
