Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am considering this for K. I already have Catholic Mosaic and Christmas Mosaic. I have most of the picture books that go with the program I think.

Does anyone have any views - like it or not?

Marilyn:
There is a thread from a couple years ago.

I check out Peak with Books from our library a couple times a year. I like it, as it has lots of little ideas/projects that seem quite doable to me. I haven't purchased it only b/c I can keep it from the library about half the year.

FIAR has less books , but MORE about each book.
Peak has more books, less about each book.

Marilyn,

It is well worth the money. I agree with Suzanne--it has a wonderful book list with good ideas/activities. I actually like the brevity of suggestions for each book--I sometimes get overwhelmed with too many choices. I have used it off and on with my youngers and plan on using it this fall once again.

Thanks Suzanne and Jennifer. My library does not have it - unfortunately as it is generally a great resource and I get so much from it. I have not seen it - but I am going to try and look at sample pages on Amazon or google.

I used BFIAR and could probably borrow FIAR from a friend - but I like the sound of PWB.

Marilyn, I have both Peak and FIAR (older version). When we get together (is this motivation enough) I can let you look them over. I like them both, although I would never do all the activities suggested. As I was saying here I tend to just let the book speak for itself.

Peak I like the suggested themes, related book suggestions, some pondering questions you can bring in. FIAR has fewer books, and easier ideas to just apply during the readings. I like them both as background reading for mom, but I don't think I'll be using them much more than that.
