Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Today I led childrens liturgy for the first time. I was trying to encourage ds 7 a very strong reader to do the second reading. He would not because I got mad at him last week for giggling while trying to read grace when his friends were having dinner with us. Ok now to the bragging, my dd10, my dyslexic dd, said, "I'll do it.", and she did! I am so proud of her. She did it and did a terrific job! It was an easy reading but I am so glad she had the courage to try and followed through.

That's great! I definitely don't like going up in front of people. The last time I had to read (small Mass -- I was asked right before Mass started), I had to follow along in my son's missal to know when to go up! I was so flustered and nervous.    It's so sad I just have to laugh at myself!

Sounds like you have a pretty confident young lady there! That's wonderful.

Good for her!!! Way to go! It's always so wonderful when our kids with difficulties spread their wings a bit!
