Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My daughter got a new diagnosis from a specialist who concurred with another two specialists: bilateral Perisylvian Polymicrogyria.

I am happy we finally have a true answer after 7 years, sad because I am grieving all over again. The only thing I am afraid of is the behavior problems that are associated with it. Right now she doesn't have any behavior problems, and hope she doesn't have any in the future. I have found no specifics on that issues, and her regular neurologist is on medical leave, and there are no open appointments for 2010...they are so booked, and will call me if something opens up.

So, I have my hands full!

Anyways, we are doing well, but I just get overwhelmed sometimes.

KC...how are you doing?

Thank you for asking! I'm hanging in there. It's exhausting listening and conversing with my son as it's not a normal type conversation. I just nod and say um-hm. He repeats himself incessantly. And, there's no one else who can take that load.

I understand so much about grieving all over again. And, how overwhelming even in the midst of doing well; if it makes sense.
