We have been trying to help and diagnosis for our dd for 6 or 7 yrs now.(DD is 9)I met with our third psychologist yesterday and today we met with another counselor. Todays counselor was the best we have seen so far and he will help us with behavior management. We still need to get dd to someone for dx. I called several places today and the final answer that I got was, "We only see children ages 7 and under." All I could do was scream. When we looked for help when she was younger we were told she was too young and they would not test a child for Autism Spectrum at that age and now we are still getting the same answer.
I am so frustrated and tired of trying to get help. I am not giving up but I am just really beat down right now. Finally what I did was make appointment with family dr for check up for dd and hopefully now they will give me a referal to someone who could help.
I know that some day we will see the light at the end of the tunnel but I would settle for light at either end at this point.
Sorry for the vent...
Please pray that we find someone to help us.

Just wanted to let you know I'm praying for you Darlene. It must very so very frustrating.

Your health system seems so different to our here in Australia, where it is usually fairly easy to get a dx, especially if you go privately.

Have you tried any of these DAN doctors or a developmental pediatrician?

Praying you can find just the right doctor, and soon.
