Okay I have my very casual blog. I like playing with it and having that outlet at times.
I'm considering a second blog. One where I post the daily plans of what we're doing and using and such.
Does anyone else do this? What do you think of the idea?
I like the idea, but wonder if it's only the idea I like, kwim?
I'm thinking I can post daily plans.
Review material/methods.
Post pictures and and submit written works by the kids.
Does anyone here do this?

Martha
I have a second, private blog used for what you describe above. I think quite a few ladies here do too.

Martha,
You might take a look at the Learning Notes Blogs mentioned here.

okay!
I've subscribed for a free trial to typepad, but I can't seem to figure out how to make any of the layout or widgets work.
I selected typepad because I am admittedly envious of the beauty in some of the blogs from here that use it, but I can't seem to do much with mine.

go to google calendar and sign in (you need a google account)
input your calendar items
when you're ready click on "manage calendars" on the sidebar, down at the bottom
go to "edit settings" under the "sharing" column
go to "calendar details", then "html" and then "configuration tool" -- that will give you the code to embed into your blog
the only thing i'd caution against is privacy issues -- i originally had everything on there including field trips and addresses, dates and times, but i've taken those off and put it in a private calendar for myself -- just in case there are any stalker-type people lurking -- or you could set certain events to "private" by clicking on "options" when you put them in
hth,
