My 3 yr old ds Seamus is going to see our doctor tomorrow because I am at my wits end with his behaviour. My mother was here visiting and she called to tell me that she thinks that he may be autistic, or somehting along those lines. My dh works with and specializes in disabled peoples, and we have wondered for a while now if something was wrong, but frankly with the year we have had I'm not convinced it is not a parenting issue. I am scared, perhaps I fear losing another child, or perhaps it is the knowledge that I don't know what is best for this little guy. I ask you all to pray for our doctor that he has the wisdom to direct us as where to go with this. I know he has had more stress in his short life than my other children, and I have let alot slide due to my own grieving. It is very confusing to explain, and I need help for tomorrow, I need words to discribe his behaviour and I need to not have so much fear. Easier said than done, but I know you all pray for each of us, and I know that as mothers of special needs you may understand me. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Praying for you and Seamus, and specifically for wisdom for the doctor. I think it would be very difficult to sort of the effects of your families year of grief and any underlying challenges. I pray you find the words.

Molly, I will pray. We had my son diagnosed at 3 (PDD-NOS), and I remember the stress and uncertainty well.

I just said a prayer for you now, Molly, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day. Having "been there, done that" with a diagnosis of PDD-NOS for my son, I can certainly understand and sympathize with what you're going through.

I have to go back on Friday, good news is the doctor agrees with me that all of this "could" be from stress and our lack of "staying on top" of him!! He wants me to see a specialist in Pgh, and try cranail manipulation, he thinks his skull is "odd" shaped and could be putting pressure on his little brain. That is a super short run down, perhaps over simplified, but for now please pray for dear Seamus!

We go tomorrow to the specialist, if you could say an extra Ave for us I would be grateful. Dh just finished telling me that he has noticed Seamus' speech seems to be going backwards......I KNOW that is not good! He use to be able to speak much clearer, and now I am frightened all over again.
