Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone else find that their special blessing does better with year round school? We took about 2 weeks off, then did   a little reading and math everyday. Then came along this big party we had for my dd who just graduated college and a belated welcome home party for my ds who got home from Iraq.
Yesterday when John was reading out loud to me, he seemed so "rusty". Now I'm feeling guilty. These kids with learning issues really need all year schooling, I think.

I do agree Mary Ann. But then, I also think they are the children who benefit most from a break. Still, continuing maintenance work is probably a good idea. I always have grand plans for gaining ground in the summer; this year, I'm looking toward just not losing any!

That sounds like a good goal.    I also need some time to organize around the house (like I'm sure many of us are doing) so that the school year runs more smoothly.
