Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

After writing about my daughter's autism on my blog I have been receiving a good number of search hits for things like "Autism + sacraments" and "Catholic mass autistic child" leading me to think that there are a good number of parents out there looking for more info on their autistic children and their family's sacramental life.

I have written and posted a short article in response. It is really rough, but if anyone would like to kindly read it and offer some insights or feedback I would like to work on it further.
you can read it here.
