I know this isn't the prayer board, but I think you will appreciate where I am today. I'm asking for prayers while I plan out the year's studies for my three youngest (we start on the 11th).
My 12yod has Asperger's, my 9yos has ADHD, APD and is dyslexic, has severe asthma and allergies (he was a preemie), my 6yod is legally blind as a result of a cancer-like disease so rare that she was only the 15th child world-wide to be diagnosed with it.
We are past the medical hurdles, and truthfully, all of the kids are doing great- it's just an awful lot to take into consideration when planning, know what I mean?
Thanks, and I'm keeping you all in my prayers while we begin this year's adventure

Christina (age 5 Down syndrome) has so many therapies, (total 10 hours a week). I don't want to overwhelm her by telling her what to do, with a formal Kindergarten program, so I fill low shelves in three rooms with Montessori activities I got from the book Natural Structure (CHC) for Christina to access at will. We take turns taking her outside on breaks from schoolwork. So far, so good.

Thank you ladies!
My 12yo really needs help with writing/ narration, so we're trying Bravewriter this year (will cover literature, copywork, dictation and composition). For math she's sticking with the Keys to... series, since she's been doing so well with it. CM style history (both world and Canadian), some literature-based science (more like history of science) and that's pretty much all she'll be doing on her own.
The 9yo is still not reading well enough to do his work independently, so I'll be combining him with the 6yo for almost everything. On his own, we'll be trying out MEP math (it looks fab, and It's Free!  ), continuing with Phonics Pathways and Explode the Code, and penmanship (he needs a lot of work with this). Since he's our only boy, I always have a read-aloud going with him that is a bit more 'boyish'- he's asked for some King Arthur next 
The 6yo is a math whiz, and is loving Singapore. I actually bought her the challenging word problems book and intensive practice books to go along with level 2, just to try and keep up with her.  Reading is frustrating with her limited vision, so we'll be adding some Montessori-style activities to help with that. Actually, she'll be covering quite a lot of territory using Montessori (loosely) this year. When she was still in the Early Intervention program, she *loved* all of the hands-on activities, and really thrived with them.
Together, I'll be reading aloud some history, geography, natural history and tales that they will narrate (CM again), and loads of picture books for the 6yo.
As a family, we read Bible stories, have regular nature walks/ studies, artist and composer studies, French, lots of practical life stuff and loads of handicrafts and art. My kitchen table is a lovely, many-coloured thing 
It looks like a lot now that it's down in print but since we don't do everything every day, it's actually pretty relaxed. I'll be posting more detail on my blog soon (book titles and such), as soon as I get that all sorted out.
Now, just some pesky little schedule and lesson plans, and I might be ready for next Tuesday- aak!
