Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I finally finished up Quinn's spring lapbook.

He actually participated a bit more on this one than on previous books. My two favorite pages...when I painted his foot to create a barefootin' page...Quinn hates to be messy and when I started painting the bottom of his little foot, the look of horror on his face was priceless. I wish I would have thought to have someone standing by with a camera. Poor baby! We also made rock creatures. Finding the rocks in our driveway was so-so fun for him but he flatly refused to participate in the painting, so that I did by myself. I thought they were cute but Quinn took one look and proclaimed them, "dumb!" My little art critic. *smile*

Dani, this is beautiful!! I am so inspired looking at this! Are they hard for us non-crafty folk? Do you have software for the frames that you use for poems and such? How many of these do you do (like, each subject or only favorite themes for fun)?

Oh, Dani, it is beautiful! That doesn't look like any of the lapbooks that we have made. :) What a wonderful keepsake for Quinn, even though he may have been a bit uncooperative for some of it.

Thank you!

I use Photoshop to create the graphics but any graphics program will do. I love creating graphics and if you see some frame or something that I've done that you like and want to use, just give me a holler and I would be happy to send the image file to you.

Quinn's lapbooks(in various forms) so far are:

I Can Do It
Autumn
Thanksgiving
Christmas
Winter
I'm Irish
Spring

I think we'll start one for summer next and/or maybe one to document his continuing progress with his speech...not too sure exactly how to document that one. As Pooh would say, I'll have to "Think, think, think!" about that one. *smile*

You can see examples of all of his lapbooks on my blog just by clicking on the lapbook category in the right sidebar menu. I get my many of my ideas by looking at what others have created. *smile*
