Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

As I've stated many times before, my oldest boy has linguistic challenges (to say the least). Sadly, my strengths are in the maths and sciences departments - teaching my son how to talk seems an unsurmountable challenge! After all, most children figure this out on their own with little conscious guidance from anyone else.

But, we've been bumbling along - trying to make progress. Today, he's given a narration of a story that is accurate and substansive for the first time ever! I am simply ecstatic and have to share. Presenting, my son's narration of "The Beginning", from The Beginner's Bible: Timeless Children's Stories.

Darkness begins.
God is there.
The light is flashing.
Clouds are being great space.
The flowers are every part.
Day and Night.
Birds crossed the sky. Fishes in the water.
The animals begin. In the jungle. Barnyard rabbit.

Yes, he has a long way to go. But we've finally arrived at the beginning!

And, a question. Should I leave it as is or do some minor editing before putting it in his narration book?

Oh, Taffy, that is nice and rather poetic -- very vivid and a bit philosophical! I really enjoyed reading it!

Taffy - it is beautiful. I'd put it in just as it is.

Beautiful, Taffy. You have a right to be excited and proud!
I would absolutely leave it as is. It is such a treasure that you will always want to be able to look back on and remember.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to follow your advice - this narration goes in intact!
