Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a curriculum or online resource for teaching social skills? My 12 year old ds has severe dyslexia and ADHD/Aspergers high functioning autistic tendancies--i.e. overeracting/missing social cues and such. He is the 3rd of 7 children so gets lots of opportunities to practice socialization, ha ha--and we do point things out to him but I would like to be more systematic in my approach of trying to give him some more tools socially. He is on ADHD meds which have helped him get to grade level with reading but still want to help him in these other areas. Thanks so much!

Go to www.socialthinking.com and look at some of the articles and products. I know I have used some of her things in the past and so have my dd's OT's in the past. I cannot remember the names of particular books right now but I know she is well respected in her field. Also, try looking at this speech teacher's blog as she has some good ideas as well. Some might work well at home, one on one with your child.
