Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our family dr wants to make an appointment for our 7 year old son to go in for this test.

Does anyone have any experience with it?

I'm nervous about him needing to take ritalin as part of the test.

Both of my children have taken it and did not have to be medicated. I think they sometimes may do comparisons to see of there is a difference in performance on and off meds but I never heard of having to go on it to take the test.

The family practice Dr. said they will have ds take the test then take the ritalin and then an hour and a half later take the test again.

Basically I was told if he has ADHD he will do better on the test after taking ritalin if he is bipolar he will do worse.

He does exhibit some bipolar behaviors in addition to his problems with inattention and impulsivity.

This test is our first step at trying to find some answers.
