Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK - I'll get it going this month.
I send this out to my local homeschool group too
It's a mess - and I will fix the links later - right now, I have to go make some lunch!
And my disclaimer - I have no original ideas, so I claim no credit for anything except my ability to use the internet search engine.

I've been working on trying to put in links to feast days for February above but that doesn't bump the thread. I did want to specifically post that I'm including stories from Treasure Chest of Fun & Facts (the Catholic comic book from 1940-70's) for the feast days that they correspond with. There is one for today - St. Jerome Emiliani. Since there isn't that much out there for him, wanted to call attention to that.

February Saints from Treasure Chest of Fun & Facts:
"St. Brigid: the Mary of the Gael" - Feb. 1

"St. Dorothy and the Rose Tree" - Feb. 6

"Saint Jerome Emiliani" - Feb. 8

"Sts. Cyril and Methodius" - Feb. 14

"St. Valentine" & "St. Valentine's Legend" - Feb. 14

"The Story of St. Peter's Chair at Rome" Feb. 22

"St. Ethelbert of Kent" - Feb. 25

I know it's past the fact, but I found Saint Valentine by Ann Tompert a very nice addition to the picture books for Valentine's Day.

And Poor saints Cyril and Methodius! They were such great saints and they almost ignored on February 14! The Slavic branches of our Catholic Church are solely rooted on their work. They created a Slavonic alphabet now known as the Cyrillic alphabet.
