I've been subscribing to the blog
Mommy Speech Therapy (thanks to a link from Lilting House).

Recently there was a post on
Drooling may indicate low muscle tone and the subsequent need for speech therapy.

I thought this was important information for adoptive moms. The poster gives a few suggestions on how to improve the muscle tone in young children.

Helen, I'm a little late in seeing this but I'm glad I saw it. One of twins adopted from Liberia in June drools a lot. Mainly when he cries and sleeps. He also has high lead levels which from what I understand can affect muscle tone. Very interesting. More research to be done!
