Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

The kids and I are attempting to make our first lapbook. It's going to be about Our Lady of Guadalupe. So far we have a map of Mexico and the Mexican flag on the back of the lapbook. My husband and the kids made the Juan Diego fold out from Elizabeth's post. I thought we could paste a prayer to Our Lady on the front and also a holy card. So far that is all we have. Besides the Juan Diego fold out inside the lapbook in the middle, there is nothing else in it; it looks so empty. I am out of ideas. What else can we put in the lapbook?
I appreciate any help you can give us. I'll post in on my blog on Tuesday.

Off the top of my head...
Perhaps some illustrated narrations of the story by your children? A recipe and photo from a Mexican meal you prepare together? Icons colored by the children (similar to Katherine's St Nick icons, but without the plaque, could even be colored on cloth for a neat effect). Vocabulary such as "Tilma."
Sorry it isn't much, but I am a novice at this stuff, too!

Thanks. Those are great ideas. I wanted to do vocabulary, but I forgot all about it until you mentioned it. Thanks so much. I'' let you know how it turns out.
