Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

As we did our religion craft today, I was reading the kids the story of Adam and Eve and telling them about original sin. We were also talking about sins that we commit and how it causes a cloud to cover our faces a little when we sin so that we don't look like images of God (the face and cloud craft from Who Am I?). As DD4 was finishing her coloring, I could hear her singing from another room, "I always love God. God doesn't love it when we sin. Original sin was not good. I love God..." It was so cute. These are the moments that I am so thankful that my kids are home and that I can teach them how to walk with God through life in addition to math facts and reading. If my kids end up in Heaven, I will feel like my job was done well regardless of what they choose to do as a profession! I love homeschooling (and yes, I will reread this the next time I am overwhelmed by it all... )

Love it!!

I agree with you about walking with God and ending up in Heaven!

My 6YO lately is obsessed with sin questions. "Has Santa ever sinned?" and "Has Grandma ever sinned?" and "How come Mary never, ever sinned?"
