Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My 22-yr old son is trying to bring me "up to the times" and gave me a Nook for Mother's Day. I plan on using it for educating my younger children who SO BADLY want i-pods, i-pads, i-whatevers ....

I've been reading a magazine with it (frustrated that I can't rip out a recipe! ), but I sure would like some guidance from you more "hip" home-schooling moms on how to best maximize the usage of this thoughtful gift. I will find some books for the younger ones to read, for sure, but there has to be other great things to do with it. I know it will grow on me if I can just figure out what else I can be doing with it in the home school realm!

Thanks in advance!
