Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

With DD#1's aged dog from college, my father's dog, and our three I have a pack.
This is not usually a problem because they lounge around outside (of course they also pick up dog perfume out there too--they love when I move the chicken coops, bear scat and what ever is left after the turkey vultures recycle road kill) but on this rainy Friday I realize that dog smell is going to be an issue.
Bathing more than once a week is not an option (see dog perfume remark above)and we are not set up for outside dogs, which would defeat my "dogs are watchdogs and intruder deterrants" goal.
Scented candles are great but I do not want them burning through the night and the back hall (where they all sleep) in the morning is definately strong smelling.
Any products you like?
Anything particularly successful?

No suggestions, but I have another dog for you, should you want one! My two are more than I can handle!

I know your pain, Viv.

No suggestions but our dogs (plus our son's lab) are three more reasons we did not evacuate this go-round.

Last time we had our big-goofy boxer-lab mix riding in the cab of the truck with us when we were evacuated. Ugh! Six people in a truck is bad enough. Add two dogs. ugh!

My mother won't allow dogs inside the camp so they had to ride out Gustav's storm winds in their kennels on the porch outside. Our rat terrier is 14 1/2 years old, getting too old to be outside during a storm.

Dogs! Gotta love them.

My step-mom squirrels baskets of potpourri around and about - and my own mother used to burn incense. We always had dogs of the retriever type - stinky beasts, especially after a roll in *something*.

My beagle is better about that, though he's in love with a little high adventure.

Blessings,
