Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am looking for some good books that outline the different philosophies of education. From hanging around these forums I am familiar with some of the names, but not quite sure exactly what each stand for. I am not looking for 10 books on each type, just one or maybe 2 on each type that could help give me some ideas. Thanks!

Designing Your Own Classical Curriculum (Catholic) and Well Trained Mind (Christian) are both books on how to implement a classical curriculum. Both are based on Dorothy Sayers' essay The Lost Tools of Learning.

And here is a link to Charolotte Mason in Modern English which I am enjoying. The original series is there also.

There is a start anyway.
