I just rediscovered this forum and I wanted to share some inspiration with all of you.
I can relate to so many of the posts that I have read this morning. My oldest daughter (22)is special needs (mildly retarded). We homeschooled her all the way.
For years we struggled with meeting her social needs. She longed for friends and a social life. Two years ago we discovered the Special Olympics and ever since, her life has changed.
This week she is participating in a week long bike tour all across the State of Ohio with her Special Olympics team, the Flying Eagles. Go take a peek at my blog. I am photo journaling her experience. We are so proud of her!
