Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Ladies,

After looking for a rosary on CD (so I can listen/pray while doing yoga) I decided on A Rosary for the Family from Leaflet Missal. But it was unavailable, so I did a search on Googol on "review rosary cd" and the site I went to was Mark Mallett's. His rosary cd snippits I heard online are awesome! I quickly ordered one and am already thinking "Christmas presents". He is a Canadian, is married, and has six kids. He composed different versions of the Glory Be for each set of mysteries. You've got to go his website and listen. I am so excited about this cd.

Do you have a rosary cd you'd like to tell the group about? It's hard to tell from catalog descriptions what the cd is like.

Love,
Kelly from NC

We have the Angelina rosary cd, which we really enjoy. There are many reflections and songs added which make it a really great meditative cd for older children or adults. I would guess it takes close to 45 minutes to go through one set of mysteries.

However, the one we most often use is one that I received as a freebie from one of the Catholic freebie sites. It is very nice, but simple, and only takes maybe 15 minutes.

We rarely use a cd at home, we usually just use it if we're saying the rosary in the car. Does anyone else pray the rosary when they drive? I think it's great and the children are much less distracted.

Well, I like to listen to the rosary particularly after my babies are born. I'm in so much physical pain for their first six months. This particular CD - Mother of Mercy - A Rosary of Healing with Dana and Fr. Kevin Scallon CM has gotten me through those six months. You can hear just a bit of it here: A Rosary of Healing

Peace,

Mare

Hi,

This is sort of related, so I'll ask you ladies here.

I assume you are recommending rosary tapes/videos for the whole family.

My question - does it work for the whole family together or is it just for you? We have tried numerous ways to pray a family rosary and I find it quite difficult. We've done our own, used tapes and videos and we always end up with restless 2 yo that does everything in his power to become center stage. How do you handle family rosary time with a bunch of children and many toddlers?

Thanks,

Janet
