I love holy cards, I can't wallk out of a Religious supply store without snagging a handful. I am trying to actually incorporate them, as opposed to having them lay fallow in a drawer. I'd love to hear what you creative ladies do with them in your homes.

I use to keep mine in a recipe card holder in the Montessori cart when the girls were younger.
Now days they are on the shelf w/ our Catechism of the Good Shepherd supplies.

I try to collect them in some containers. I tried to do an album, like sports trading cards, but they don't fit well.
So they are still in the plastic containers. Good news, I know where they are. The bad news is they are very disorganized.

We have a bunch on our prayer table...the kiddos get to them every once in a while. I have a hard time prying out a saint that they are admiring (or chewing on) 
But I haven't the heart to throw them away...even though some are a bit tattered...I am guessing that if I do, that I need to shred them? Like any other holy object?
Funny...I've been looking at these for so long...because...well...they are cluttering the table. I feel bad even saying that!

The girls have their little collections in a zipper bag in their purses. We have them in books all over the house, dresser drawers, picture frames...
Wow, they are all over my house. Funny I can never seem to lay my hands on a specific one when I am searching for it.

Leaflet Missal sells a Prayer Card Album along with additional pages at its website: www.leafletonline.com. The album is $15.95 (item # 18434) and a set of 6 additional pages is $7.95 (item # 18437). Each plastic page holds 4 cards. Perhaps you could ask for this as a Mother's Day gift!
As for displaying cards, I bought several Holy Card stands for $1 a piece from Leaflet Missal (item # 17449). When its time to celebrate a Feast Day, we change the Holy Card on our home altar. Each of my children also has a Holy Card stand in their room where they are free to display any Holy Cards that are meaningful to them. We love these little stands because it allows us to use our Holy Cards to make little places around the house more special.

We do the same as Charlotte. It was conceived of as a Mass toy but they've never liked them at Mass! But if we leave them around the house they get plenty of time. My dd was showing hers to her "baby" the other day. Very sweet.

I have 2 sets of holy cards.
One set is laminated. I punched a hole in the top center of a few key cards - pictures of the sacrfice of the Mass, the Holy Father, etc. (about 20 in all) and it is kept in my purse or diaper bag and given to wiggly little ones during Mass.
The other set I keep filed in my File System. I went through all the cards and penciled on the back the date of the Feast for that particular Saint. Then, I file them in my file system under the month of their Feast or if applicable under the season - Lent, Easter, Advent, Christmas. Each month, I pull the file for that month. The file contains sacred art images that pertain to Solemnities, Feasts, Ferias for the month as well as ideas I've printed and accumulated for living out the seasons of the liturgical year during that month...and the holy cards. I set up a monthly feast table and display the holy cards and artwork for the month there.

My son has holy cards pinned to the bulletin board in his room and under the glass on his desk. The rest of our cards are filed alphabetically in an index file box. Organized? Yes. Used? No. I'm going to keep watching this thread for more creative ways to use and display cards. I recently rearranged the office area of our great room; we now have more formal family altar space, so I find appealing the idea of displaying the cards related to the feast days of the month.

We put our holy cards in those baseball card holders that you can get for binders. You know, clear plastic and room for about 12 to a page.
However, I've never found a good way to get the kids to actually interact with them. My daughter regularly would use them to put in her letters to penpals but that isn't the sort of thing my little boys would tend to do.
Edited to add -- I like Charlotte's Mass "holy ring" idea, particularly as the youngest has a hard time sitting through mass.

The holycard rigns is an awesome idea. I think I am going to do a variation. I am going to buy some of those paper mache boxes at the craft stores (the el cheapo ones) I think I will paint them in Liturgical colors and then organize my cards by season. I will always have a box on our prayer table. A purple box gilded with gold, with the top off and holding a cache of beautiful advent themed cards will fit nicely next to the Advent wreath. .
A larger bright green one will hold the "ordinary" cards, probably stacked alphabetically, since there will be quite a few. Lent will be violet, but sans gilding and hold more sombre cards. I think I will also do a red box for "our " Saints- our names and confirmation saints or anyone we have a special relationship with. And a FANCY white and gold one for EAster season cards (and one for Christmas of course)
My goal is for us treat them like we would family photos, lovely to display, but also a reminder of those who love us.

We use this and like it b/c we can see both sides of the cards without having to take them out.

One of the things we do is to post the holy cards around our liturgical year wheel as we come to the different saint days or holy days. We begin with the first Sunday of Advent. It makes a big display on the wall of all the saints around the year and the children sometimes look at it and ask about the saints. The other holy cards are in an index card box. Looking forward to more ideas on this thread!

I have bought for each of my children one of those small photo albums from Michaels. It's about 4X6 size and you just slip in a card, one on each side. You can sometimes find the albums for a $1 each. I even did this with a Blue Knights group I led for 2 years. At the end of each meeting, I asked them questions about what we covered. Each child got a chance to answer one question and they'd receive a holy card. Then I gave them time to trade with their friends. It was fun. Some of the boys went home and filled their books with their own holy cards, besides the ones I was handing out. We did this 2 years in a row, so they got quite a fun collection and had fun. It felt like baseball card trading!

They're crammed in a drawer in the secretary desk in my living room, along with some extras my MIL sent.
I use 'em for school rewards--e.g., "Congratulations on finishing history for the year! Help yourself to a medal or card from the holy card drawer."
I offer this advice for moms like me who aren't crafty, would impale themselves trying to make Holy Rings, and should stay far, far away from laminating machines.

Some are tucked into my Shaker-style kitchen cabinets so that I can see them every day. Most of the others are on my refrigerator. My Divine Mercy holy card is in my purse. I could not make it through a day without seeing my "Saint People" all around my kitchen. The holy cards are visible reminders of how I want to live my life.
I used to think I was kind of weird in this regard until my son met another Catholic Boy Scout at summer camp and we visited his family. Nick's mom had more holy cards on her kitchen cabinets than I had on mine! (Insta-friendship, multi-generational-style!)
I even have Girl Scout and Boy Scout holy cards on my fridge...
...and I have no worries about visitors. Anyone who walks into my home will automatically know we are Catholic. If they miss the religous art, the holy cards will certainly convince them.

Mine are everywhere too. I love seeing them, so I stick them in the corner of mirrors and other places where I see them thru out the day.
