Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Along the lines of EWTN Favorites, anyone listen to the EWTN Channel on Sirius Radio? Anything you'd recommend there? Are they just rebroadcasting the tv programs? I find that super annoying, like certain news channels are simply rebroadcasts of the television and the silly newscasters are always saying things like - take a look at this video - rather than describing what they're looking at.

Also, how about the Catholic Channel?

Sometimes they rebroadcast TV, but they also borrow shows from Ave Maria Radio. Most of the shows are actually radio shows, except Life on the Rock, repeats of Mother Angelica's shows, Fr. Pacwa's shows, The Journey Home...there are few visuals with these, so it works out (except LotR, which is OK but not great without visuals). The rosary, Mass and divine mercy chaplet also work well without visuals (we play "guess the homilist").

The Catholic Channel is sometimes good, sometimes really awful. I suppose it's a matter of taste, but the first time I listened to The Catholic Guy, he spent the show describing an intestinal ailment, and toilet humor on a middle school level was all I got out of it. The music director of St. Pat's Cathedral has a nice show.
