I'm taking my husband in for a 9 a.m. doctor's appt. this morning. Something's wrong with his knee. It's been painful all weekend and yesterday it swelled up terribly. The pain woke him at 4 this morning and it is just unbearable; he can't put any weight on it. He has NO idea what he did to it. He played soccer all through childhood and into college, but hasn't played any sports really since.
Please, if you would, say a little prayer for Bill that this all smooths over and it's nothing serious. Thank you so much!

Oh, Dawn, prayers and sympathy...My husband smacked his knee on a ladder in February and has had such pain since, x-rays and such revealed nothing but a fluid build up. He finally insisted on extensive testing at the 6 month mark and they found that he'd broken his femur right above the knee.
 I'm still baffled as to how that was missed.
On the other hand, my knee occasionally hurts too. I tell him it's sympathy pains.

Thanks, everyone.  They don't know exactly what's going on with his knee. They took some fluid out to test. They also advised him to keep it wrapped and keep off of it as much as possible for 10-12 days to see if the swelling and pain go away. He is on an anti-inflammatory (which has knocked him out right now ) to help as well.
I am just praying that those tests all come back normal. I feel in my heart it is some kind of injury but you always worry there could be something else going on - or at least I do, but then I am prone to worry - wish I weren't.
