Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Would love a book recommendation for a young single Catholic woman on recovering from Depression.

A 10 step program would be great
Would love to find a book with a Catholic spiritual element laid out in bite size pieces.

I don't know if this includes a 10-step program, but I think it is one of the first of its kind from a Catholic perspective. My sister is very good friends with this author and his family.

The Catholic Guide to Depression

Thanks Erica, had seen that, seems very comprehensive and recommended in a few places. Small world isn't it

I was hoping to find something more like this 10 Steps to Overcome Depression for Catholics which looks great but is audio. I'd love a book format.

Two books that I keep and pull out now and again are

God Help Me! Finding Balance through God's Grace by Gregory Popcak

and

How to Handle Worry, A Catholic Approach by Marshall J. Cook

I also like a book by Fr. Oscar Lukefahr called The Search For Happiness: Four Levels of Emotional and Spiritual Growth. I received my copy through Catholic Home Study Service.
