I have been reading like crazy as I am planning on leading a middle school boys' book club and high school boys' book club next school year.

I have written a post about our titles here.

I have been trying to think of how we could also do this cyberly, so to speak. Are there any boys out there who would like "join in"? PM me if you are. Maybe together we think of a good format. I think it would be great fun for the boys here to see/hear from boys around the country too. And I thought it could be good for boys that don't have a group to do this with to be able to join up with some friendly faces

could you refresh my aussie memory, what age is middle school and what is highschool in the US?

Middle school = 11-14
High School = 14-18

So I've been thinking about the idea of some sort of cyber connection. I'm thinking of doing a private blog with invites for all the boys who will follow us, including each of the boys IRL here.

Then not only will I post (things to think about, things to look for, etc) but the boys can email me something to post. Maybe they'd like to share a drawing, other books like the book we are reading, movies, etc, stuff they'd think about. Then I would post it. Then...the boys can visit the site and make comments. Maybe we'd do intro posts.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thought I would jump back here and give an update on our clubs. I did posted about what we have done so far this year Here

Also I have set up a private blog for the middle school boys to do some sharing. I also post some book trailers and author bio info. If your son would like to follow along with us, pm me and I can add you to that book club blog.
