Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi Everyone!

I am wanting to add some skirts to my wardrobe, but I am having a hard time finding affordable, nice looking skirts (easy to care for would be a nice extra, too!)that would be suitable for everyday wear chasing kids. Does anyone have a source that they trust? I have looked in many local shops here, but much - if not all - of what I see falls into one of three categories: 1) too expensive; 2) not my style; or 3) outright immodest.

I look forward to suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

God bless!

Have you checked the Goodwill? Seriously. I have bought a khaki skirt & denim one too that were never worn. I think I paid about $8 each. I have also found Hannah Anderson & Laura Ashley dresses for my girls in mint condition.

Try www.hannahlise.com

I've never ordered from them personally, but their stuff looks really nice and is reasonably priced, too.

Thank you all for your replies!

I haven't had a chance to visit Good will or local consignment shops yet, but I have had a chance to check the website suggested, and it's really nice! Just what I was looking for!

Happy New Year and God Bless!

Just wanted to add a couple of other sources:

Little Touch of Elegance

Blair

The link I provided for Blair will take you to the denim bias skirt. I have a couple of these & consider them part of my "uniform". They're great for the summer because they're lightweight. In the winter, I wear them with leggings underneath. Unfortunately, they don't have pockets but you can't beat the price - $19.99. You can usually find an e-mail coupon for free shipping at Blair.

I also have a few knit skirts in basic colors (black, tan, etc.) from Lands End. Their knits are so well made that I've had them for several years & they look brand new.

Here is another source with reasonable prices. Several skirts are $16.99. I like to wait for their items to go on sale.
