Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Take a look at this report on the Pro-Life Action League's website.

This made my day. Especially after reading some of the Letters to the Editor in Newsweek on the matter. One small step for us...Thank you, Alice

I'm thrilled

That's great! So glad to know that American Girl is moving in the other direction. If only they had studied their customer base at the outset, they could have avoided this whole mess.

Merry Christams!

So does this mean the boycott will end on the 26th of December?

If this report is accurate, then I would say yes--there is no reason to continue the boycott after December 26. It's too bad this didn't work its way out sooner. One of my daughters had her heart set on an Elizabeth doll, and the others had quite a few AG requests as well. It won't happen this year though.

I just looked at the AG website. (I got the ad for the new AG doll, Jess, in my email inbox.) They definitely announced the end of the I Can program. This is great news. I hope other companies learn from their experience too!

Thanks for the information, Irene. The announcement of the end of American Girl's partnership appears in the lower left hand corner.

I just sent American Girl an email letting them know how glad I was to hear it.

Alice, that's a great idea. It's important that people tell American Girl why (if they do decide this) they choose to once again buy AG products.

My daughter is elated that AG is not on Mommy's bad list now...her birthday is coming up soon!

Nancy -- My 5 yod is also excited -- she got a doll from Vision Forum -- but AG has SO MANY more outfits and fun stuff.....Now, let's just hope they stay off my list by March 1 so I can get her treats for her bday.....

If you're going to order, the ladies on the FIAR message boards shared that there is a coupon floating around out there for $10 off an order of $30 or more. The code is 146831.

Great to know, Elizabeth.

And very useful considering it is almost impossible to place an AG order for under $30!

He he he, the newest store is going to be in Los Angeles...where I'm scheduled to travel in late April...!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness for e-mail campaigns. Skipping the AG store would have been so, so painful.

Thanks for the promo code, Elizabeth!

Oh, we are SO happy here! This was the thank you letter that I sent to American Girl this morning. Thanks for updating us on this situation.

Dear American Girl,

Our daughter Sarah, and I wanted to email and thank you for severing your relationship with Girls Inc. Sarah is SO happy and excited to be able to love American Girl once again, and to be able to ask for American Girl products for her birthday this coming April! She has asked for the Jess doll, and is SO happy she is a homeschooled girl! How wonderful that she can relate to that so well, seeing as she is also homeschooled.
Thank you so much for understanding your customers, and being concerned about what we were asking. I know it’s always difficult to try to please so many people. We are so grateful that you will no longer be associating with Girls Inc., and believe so strongly that you can achieve your goal “to continue to help make a meaningful and positive difference in the lives of all young girls” by “celebrating all that American girls are and all they can be” in many wonderful ways where ALL life can be valued, respected, and cherished.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for making this decision. We will no longer be boycotting American Girl, and will support your company wholeheartedly.

Respectfully,
Mrs. Tracy Quebral
and Sarah Quebral

I didn't know where to post this, so here goes.

Vison Forum is having a big sale (many things from 20-34% off) but the BEST deal is the Complete Wardrobe Collection for 45% off. It is partially on backorder, but they will ship the clothes that are available immediately with no extra charge.

Had to tell you all (it says they fit American Girl dolls...)

Jen L. thanks for posting about the Vision Forum sale -- Maggie just loves her Liberty doll (which she named "Sarah" after her older half-sister!).
