Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

LOVE THIS BOOK!

Amazon link

This is such a wonderful book to read out loud. The repeated rhyme of:

"Waa! Waa! Waa! I will not go to bed!" the teeny-tiny, itty-bitty, little Prince said.

makes for some rambunctious reading by all and the rhyming scheme is fun for the older kids to memorize and guess. Everyone in the castle tries to figure out why the prince won't go to bed....and FINALLY they figure it out....a sweet conclusion and a good way to end bedtime reading. Although, we've read it at ALL TIMES OF THE DAY lately! Beatuiful collage illustrations!

Suzanne, thanks to you, we fell in love with this book. We echo it quite frequently (in jest)...Thanks so much for the recommendation.

I must not have seen this the first time...When I just now saw it in active topics it was the only one that showed up and I didn't read the fourum title. So I had no linear perspective of which forum it was in and assumed it in mothering and talking about someone's son that wouldn't go to bed - but the one who posted was Suzanne and she has no little boys...it would have to be "The Princess Won't Go to Bed."

Mary,
I did the exact same thing, thinking Suzanne has all girls, who is she baby sitting!

Off to check the book out of the library!
