Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm with you about turning on the oven in summer, Angie. How do you grill pizza? And what veggies do you grill and serve with hummus in pita? I've started buying the large containers of garlic hummus at Costco recently and a few of the girls and dh and I are really enjoying it.

Now why did you have to go and tell us that. I'll be trying it before the day is out.    I am already thinking about it.

Sheesh... try to lose a little weight around you guys!

Hi Irene,

I think that our taste buds are related .

My dd and dh work on the pizza as a team so I'm out of the loop. Devin took the idea of grilling the dough first from this recipe Pizza on the Grill. She uses a dough that she makes herself and she tops it with lots of fresh garlic, olive oil, provolone cheese, diced tomatoes (canned), and italian seasoning...in that order. Sometimes she adds other toppings...pinapple and canadian bacon is fun.

For the grilled vegetables, I use whatever is on sale. This past week it has been asparagus, zuchinni, yellow squash, and green beans. I just wing it. Trim the asparagus and beans. Toss in oil (or spray with oil). Slice the squash into rounds and toss in oil. Then grill on grill pan and vegetable basket. I use the tray for long veggies and the basket for smaller pieces. Ooo...don't forget to add some garlic cloves! Grill for about 8 minutes with some turning.

Love,
