Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone have instructions for making a clothespin cross? I want to make this with my children for the feast of the Triumph of the Cross. What I remember of the craft is this, remove metal clips from clothespins, somehow (here's what I don't know) form them into the shape of a cross, glue in place, finally stain it with wood stain. I've searched the web and here on 4Real and come up with nothing.
Thank you!

Kathy --

I KNOW I saw these directions somewhere but can't seem to find them either. I'm almost positive we talked about these here; does anyone else remember?????

I'll keep looking, though....

I don't recall seeing this idea here. Could it have been on a blog which makes it really hard to track down? I did find this site which shows a class making them. It isn't clear what the pattern is for gluing them together but in this picture you can see a little better which direction they should go. Or possibly this picture. Hope this helps. It's a great idea for the Triumph of the Cross feast day!

OK, I finally remembered what I was trying to remember -- it's a matchstick cross that I remembered and would love to make some day ....

But I'd love to find directions for the crucifixes y'all found if anyone has those ....(so I can lose them, remmeber them sort of and come back on here to find the answer! )

WOW!! You ladies are amazing!! Altough I might have been remembering the matchstick crosses ( I think we've done them before -- I remember lighting all the matches), I love the clothespin crucifixes. They are beautiful!
I'll have to buy a bag of pins and play around with them. If I figure out a pattern, I'll post it here. Maybe someone on 4Real will still come through with directions!
