Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been meaning to post this. I made this a few weeks ago. Hmm...probably more like a month ago now.

This is a great summer skirt - 100% cotton, light and breezy.

The pattern is Kwik Sew 3336 (view B). I bought it because I wanted to review it. It is a very basic skirt pattern and is ideal for beginners. I would definitely recommend it. The waistband is a simple casing with elastic.

This is a great pattern to cut your sewing teeth on. Kwik Sew patterns are always a good choice. The directions are clear and the patterns are well made.

You might have inspired me, Michelle. You can ask my mom (she tried mightily to teach me how to sew just a simple straight line), I'm not a great sewer, but if it's easy, maybe I'll pull the machine out, dust it off (REALLY dust it off!) and give it a go. Thanks!

I love that skirt and it seems so easy. I may have to give it a go.

Michele,

Did you make it longer than they recommend in view B? The directions read that view B is 23" long when finished. Yours looks longer.
I like the length you made and would make a similar one.

Oh! Yes, I did make it longer. I forgot - it's been a while since I made it - sorry about that. I have no idea how much I lengthened it though. . .

Just figure out where you want it to hit and add from there - that's all I did.

BTW, Michele, how do you like your new shoes? Are your heels feeling better?

It's just the one heel (the left) and yes it's feeling better - mostly. I still have to remember to stretch and WEAR my shoes since I'd much rather go barefoot.

Oh and thank you for asking.
