Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello friends, I hope your week has been FAB!

Right now I'm in the middle of a family time management project. If it goes well, I'll report on it later. For now, I'm optimistic yet wrestling with my computer. So this will be brief!

I started the Wednesday Shout Out last July as a way to plug in a specific time for me to chime in here as well as to offer a space for general catching up among members here. I love it! Wednesday doesn't come along without me thinking of hitting my keyboard at 4Real!

It's just that I'm often late getting here    So...

Who wants to look forward to posting a Wednesday Shout Out? Obviously there's no pressure just that if you wake up bright and early on Wednesday and want to get the ball rolling, go ahead and post! Here's the general idea:

Quote:

Subject: Wednesday Shout Out! xxxxx (just add something short, something on your mind.) I like using the same subject to make searches easy.

Start off with something friendly and cheering. Link to last week's Shout Out.

Banter

Sign off wishing everyone a great week

Thanks for considering!

And...

Good news! My son will be able to play high school ball this season! The AIA, his previous school, and current school worked together to deem it a straight transfer without penalty! Thanks for your prayers!!!!

We had 3 of our cars broken into in front of our home while we slept. YUCK! It was petty theft, could have been worse. Lessons learned

No new blog post. Thanks so much for stopping by at my blog when you can :)

Gotta run! Let me know if you plan on posting a Wednesday Shout Out! If not, no biggie, I'll get here...eventually . Have a wonderful week!

Love,

Where did Wednesday go? I've been off this week! I'm blaming the sinus pain. We had to take a day off from school and we are getting a late start today. I could use a little pick-me-up . . . . . perhaps a weekend getaway with dh. Not sure how to pull that off.

My oldest celebrated his 12th birthday yesterday. I completely forgot to take pictures!! This birthday makes me sad! Everyone is getting too cold too fast!

Busy weekend is planned which I think is good because I've been bored lately with nothing to do on the weekend except housework.

I don't mind waiting around for a Wednesday shout-out...especially since it is Thursday and I am just getting around to responding.

Weird week - my son turns 21 this weekend and he is 600 miles away. Definitely mixed emotions there. Dancing Daughter just threw off a prolonged sinus infection and now has another cold. That's depressing. On the good side, I had a chance to earn some extra money - always nice - and I'm surviving the extra work and my writing class.

Angie, I am so glad your son can play ball! That's a major achievement for him and for your family.

I empathize with the break-in issue - my son's window was smashed a couple of weeks ago, apparently by some random vandal.

We are looking forward to watching our Ravens play in the Super Bowl this Sunday!

Wednesday.. I only remember for sure it's Wednesday by bedtime when we need to get the trash cans to the curb

This week we spoke to a contractor about adding onto the house and doing a bit of remodel too. He'll be getting back to us soon with some cost estimates.. and then we figure out what we can afford to do and what (hopefully nothing) we need to take off the list.

Lots of work at establishing some routines for cleaning up and doing school, not my forte, but we'll need it to handle doing stuff while the house is worked on. Then there's the scout stuff.. Scout Sunday is this Sunday. And the Rendezvous stuff.. gotta get the heavy coats finished up in just about 3 weeks.. and.. oh we should be coming up to the beginning of lacrosse season.. so I'm just a bit busy

So funny Jodi- same day for us for garbage day!!

Concussion for my dd yesterday afternoon, so today was a quiet day (I am writing as if it is Wednesday).

Watching Downton tonight (I subscribed in I-Tunes so I recieved the rest of the season already) and making granny squares for our raffle for our Shakespeare group. Also cleaning the house for the house blessing (tomorrow-yikes!).

Praying for all of your intentions . And you cheer me up! I'm glad it isn't just me who struggles to remember that WEDNESDAY comes after TUESDAY and before THURSDAY .

There is a Super Bowl this weekend?    But seriously, I had to ask hubby if the game was this weekend since I don't follow football but I kept hearing that it was coming up in February.

Seems we've spent most of December and January with a house full of illness, but everybody seems to be on the mend now. I'm finally beginning to look at the calendar again to note the days, but it seems I'm still a few days behind (What do you mean it's Friday? Where did Thursday go?).

We've had a few rounds of snow, nothing major, but enough to cause some slick roads. Temps are cold at 17 degrees F (feels like 7 degrees), so we snuggle up at home and I actually turned up the heat for the day (I usually keep it at 67 degrees, but I indulged and raised it to 69 degrees). More snow to come this weekend! I do love a good cold snap and I thank God every night for a house and heat. I can't imagine the horror of this weather when you have no home.

Oh, and I actually made some freezer meals this week. Cooked up a batch of spaghetti sauce for 4 meals, and taco meat for three meals. Hurray!

Sorry to hear about the break ins. That just stinks! But glad for the baseball news.

Cassie, I chuckled when I read (and realized the typing error) that "Everybody is getting too COLD too fast (emphasis mine)." Better buy him a blanket!

Christie, I hope your dd is okay.

Jodie, we have two in Scout Sunday this week as well. DD is receiving her religious award this year.

Nancy, I hope the 21st birthday goes well! How exciting to rake in some extra money!
