Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have searched and gotten some wonderful ideas for making things "prettier" around the house, but I don't know the "where"of where to get them. So where are some of your favorite places for "pretty" things

Hobby Lobby and Michael's are the best! I sometimes think I keep them in business
You can find great things on clearance after holidays, or use 40% off coupons the rest of the time. I got really pretty Fall and Christmas arrangements after the season for up to 80% off 2 years ago. It was way cheaper than even buying the materials myself.

Almost everything I find is an unexpected treasure found through thrift and vintage stores or from etsy! I love the character and frugality of vintage prettiness!

I recently decided to replace my action-item clipboards with pretty clipboards and settled on a couple from I really liked from box64studios.

Another find I'm excited about is pretty tape! I should be utterly embarrassed to admit how happy pretty tape makes me!

I'm working on assembling a stationery basket (since I'd like to write more pretty hand-written notes) with pretty things I found from thrift stores and from etsy shops.

I love etsy too. I discover new stores that I love all the time.

Sometimes thrift stores hold excellent finds as well.

Michael's and AC Moores are also fun places to shop and they have those 40-50% off coupons each week.

I shop a lot online.. so it really just depends on what sort of things you're looking for. Though honestly, a lot of my "pretty" things are gifts that I need to sort and decide on what works and what doesn't.

For instance my MIL gave me a lovely southwestern decorative platter.. works wonderfully on a high shelf in my kitchen. But I got a Christmas cookie jar and it's too small for cookies for my family and I don't really have anywhere to put it.. so while it's adorable.. it's been set aside until next year's white elephant gift exchanges

Oh dear... if your anywhere close to it: the 127 yard sale. I don't see how people get through it all in a weekend. It took me a whole day to go about 15 miles, but oh, the adorable things you can find!
