Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Starting in September, I'll be teaching a cooking class to ten children ranging in age from 8 to 12. I'm looking for some good materials to help me develop a ten week plan. I only have 50 minutes for each class so the recipes need to be fairly simple. I have a few cookbooks for children, but I'm wondering if anyone has come across a book they absolutely couldn't live without. Thanks!

Janette,

My 13yo daughter LOVES to cook and is a big fan of Rachael Ray. She recommends Rachael's _30 Minute Meals for Kids: Cooking Rocks_. You can look at it on Amazon.com. Perhaps your library would have it.

God bless,

Patty

Patty,

Thanks so much for responding. I do like to watch Rachael Ray and enjoy the simplicity of her recipes. I haven't looked at Cooking Rocks yet, but I'll be sure to check it out. I just ordered The Science Chef Travels Around the World, Clueless in the Kitchen, and The Everything's Kids Cookbook. Thanks again!
