I'm having trouble sleeping tonight.  I am so nauseous. So I thought I would post some questions I have been thinking about.
I finally got registered with the local food coop. I have my catalogs and am trying to make a good list. I've started purchasing some organics at a local supermarket.
Would any of you care to share your favorite organic & healthier food choices?

We love Shelton's turkey franks (these have no nitrates, colorings etc), horizon yogurt (organic), Eastwind organic peanut butter, and all frontier spices/herbs/mixes. I am curious Angela, what co-op is it? Does it happen to be Ozark? I live in TX and was in a co-op through them but it is too far from me to be cost effective. I really miss it.

We shop organic as much as possible but since it can be expensive, we try to at least buy those things we consume the most:
Produce - esp. apples and berries
Stonyfield Yogurt
Milk (Stonyfield or Organic Cow)
Eggs (Country Hen)
Spaghetti sauce - Prego Organic
Flour - King Arthur Organic Flour
Coffee -Organic Zen Blend
R.W. Knudson Pear Juice
Earthbound Farm raisins
Arrowhead Mills pancake mix
Applegate Farms deli meat and hot dogs
O.K. I've rambled on long enough!

Thank you for your list! I just bought some Shelton's franks for the first time on Tuesday. Our co-op is Ozark! I'm so excited to be able to order this month! 
I've been doing alot of reading on healthier eating lately. We've always eaten lots of fruit and veggies and not too heavily on meats, so I THOUGHT that we were pretty healthy. Now I know what additives to look for on labels. It was so surprising to me to find these things in the "healthy" versions of breads, cereals, etc.
We like:
Woodstock Farms Organic Peanut Butter
Texas Pastures/Organic Valley FF Milk
Stonyfield Yogurt
Horizon Yogurt
organic eggs (can't remember the brand)
And not totally organic OR necessary  :
My Family Farm Cheese Baked Crackers
Annie's Bunny Grahams

i like all the same brands you do, gals. we also like muir glen tomatoes, colavita olive oil, bob's red mill and arrowhead mills products, if you care baking cups and parchment, the bulk organic stuff like lentils and beans, etc., organic tamari from san-j, julie's ice cream when we still could have ice cream, nancy's yogurt and brown cow, frontier herbs, spices and extracts, garden of eatin' chips, peace cereal (not so great on nutrients but sugar content is lower), cascadian farms cereal.... too many to list all, i think
in case you didn't know, last i heard there's a boycott on horizon products because of their dubious practices.

Where did you hear about the Horizon boycott?
I "heard" on another message board that Tom's of Maine has just been bought out by a big corporation.
Anyone have any information on that?

I love Muir Glen tomato products and pretty much all of Dawn's list. And Annie's mac and cheese.

Many of those listed above. We have special food allergy needs, so some of the following fit our bill:
Barbara's Cereals
EnviroKids Cereals
Lundberg Brown Rice
Imagine Free Range Chicken Broth (If this is the only thing I buy organic it's this...I love it for the taste and use it ALL the time. Great tasting to replace water with this broth in the rice.
Smart Balance and Earth Balance Margarine
Spectrum Shortening
Tinkyada Organic Brown Rice pasta
I did try one thing organic that I just had to throw away. I think it was Annie's Salad Dressings? Just plain yuck.

Oh, and Newman's Own. If you're buying premade cookies, they are really good. And the dark chocolate and peanut butter cups are REALLY delicious.
The Endangered Species Dark chocolate is good (I like the Bat Bar), and there's another brand I have that is good, too. I go for the Dark...no milk added, either.

Oh, yes, Jenn! My youngest practically lives on Fig Newmans!
We also like Barbara's Go-Go Grahams. The chocolate ones make delicious little peanut butter sandwiches.

This was dinner last night. Can't remember the name of the salad dressing but it was . I might pawn it off on an unsuspecting sister-in-law who is currently visiting. . .am I bad?  Hey, dh and I are the oldest. . .it has some perks!
I liked recently C. Farms granola bars both choc. chip & berry.
I'd like to hear more about Horizon if anyone knows.

We love Organic Valley milk, cheeses, Stoneyfield yogurt, Applegate Farms Beef hot dogs(even my best friends dc, who she said ONLY eat Oscar Meyer loved them , Annies Mac and Cheese, eggs(various brands) and organic strawberries!!
We can tell the difference in OV milk and Horizon--when we switched to organic I couldn't believe it! I'll buy Horizon if it is all that is there on the shelf. Interestingly, when we stopped to get milk at Giant Eagle one day recently they had a sign near the Horizon milk that said it might be gone due to "demand"-hmmmmmm.
I also couldn't believe how good organic strawberries could be--never buy conventional again.
Oh, I wish I could find a co-op here.

I have avoided Horizon milk because it is always the most expensive organic on the shelf and also--has anyone tasted their cream? It is really gross; it has the weirdest "metal, tinny" taste. I try and buy Organic Valley cream, even though it tends to turn to butter at the bottom of the carton! 
I was so excited to see Costco carry the Annie's mac n cheese for only $8.99 for 15 boxes!!!

FYI, while I was up in PA there was an article in the local paper about the Organic Factory Farms. It mentioned Horizon, of course, but another to watch is the Aurora Organic Dairy, of Boulder, CO, which provides private-label organic milk to chains including Costco, Safeway, Giant and Wild Oats.
