Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been reading the archives here and coming up with my plan for the coming school year. What an encouragement this place is!

My husband has reviewed and approved my curriculum choices. I just have to place the orders.

I'm excited; kids are excited.

How goes it with everyone else?

I am excited about this year. I am finally feeling like I have hit a planning groove this week. It has been such a busy summer, and I get lost when my time is broken up without long, focused chunks. It is like I am starting over each time. My Dh bought me a chrome book, and this has been wonderful for allowing me to work actively while still being flexible in where I work. I have been doing all my plans in Google, though I may still pull them up intoWord to make them a touch prettier before printing. Being at the computer for so long inside feels draining, but I have been sitting on them porch this week, and I really think the natural light helps my productivity.

Yes! We spent the week prior up in the mountains and my husband and I talked, talked, talked about what our goals for the year are in the evenings as we sat on the porch. I didn't put pen to paper or plan in any other way till we got home. I prayed I'd find the right resources and I think I did...I'm amazed that most of what we're using this year is curriculum I've never heard of before...we'll see but I feel really good.
