It's not very pretty, but I just posted an article describing my financial filing system over on my blog. I was hoping to go all Martha-Stewart-y this year, but I decided it was both cheaper and easier to just show you what I have on hand, so no lovely office supplies  !
Anyway, hope it helps someone out. It's been a really workable system for me.

I was just sharing your system with dh last night!! It looks like such a doable system, similar to what I keep intending to implement but haven't managed to think through, but you've done a lot of the thinking for me

Since everyone is sick here, I was able to finish up the second post that explains how I keep permanent records organized.

Thanks for giving me a jump-start. My little file box has been lonely (and I have the clutter piles to prove it  ). Maybe re-thinking the system will help!
