Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Last year I purchased the Homeschool tracker and ended up overwhelmed homeschooling for the first year and never really used it.

I was going to make a paper planner to combine our special blend of CHC and other materials. And I decided that the tracker would simply be easier.

I took the time to figure out a few things on it. I'm sure I'm no where near using it to my full advantage, but I am able to print out a daily lesson sheet with instructions for each child. I'm still working at it. I'll soon have a month of lesson plans in.

I love CHC lesson plans, but the girls are doing a combination, dd7 is using some of the grade 2 as she's doing first communion this year, and some non CHC materials. We are doing a 4 day week, and use the Wednesday as a day to catch up on anything we are behind on(or will be behind eventually). It's also the day I plan outings on. We have the grade 7 plans that are fantastic, it builds in catch up days here and there in various subjects.

Since our weeks can vary and not necessarily a regular 5 day week, it's nice to just assign the lessons to the days we are doing school.

Love it.

I bought HST+ a year or so ago. I like it and I can see how it will be much more helpful in the older grades, but for now it's just too much for the little bit I need.

I do think it could be much more intuitive and nicer to use. With all the technology these days, having something that is so.... old and out of date looking... it's definitely not my favorite program to use. And it wasn't cheap, considering.

Oh well.

It could be prettier I agree, but the support you won't get from anywhere else, it is UNBELIEVABLE.

Once you start using it, it really goes smoothly. I have entered dd7 year in nearly it's entirety in a couple evenings. Once it's complete, i'll just need to sit down Monday mornings and apply the lessons to the current week.

It has taken way less time than anything I was doing before.
