Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Last year I used the "filing" system to file the year of work for my kids. It was our best year yet regarding how much we were able to finish of what I planned. We even had time to take some rabbit trails. Having everything organized ahead of time made my life so much easier! But I have a question regarding assigning work that isn't filed. Like all the reading we do. Last year, I wrote it on index cards - "Read the next chapter in (book title)". It worked fine, but it was tedious to write everything. I'm just wondering how other "filers" handle this sort of thing. (Just fyi: I filed by week last year and each Sunday evening I would put the next week's work in each child's binder. The binders had a pocket for each day of that week.)

I don't use this system but I would reduce the tediousness by typing and printing..

We used the file system last year. I wrote everything out on index cards as well. This year I am typing it all out but it still takes time. Actually, I think printing it out is the easiest way, at least for me.

I type and print out a lesson plan sheet that I can print weekly. It stays pretty much the same week-by-week. After printed it goes on an individual child's clipboard, and when the week is over, I collect the child's lesson plan records in a large 3 inch notebook/binder.
