Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Odd question here...

I have three nice picture books about Hanukkah. They are on my bookshelf, but we seldom read them.

Would you keep these just for the sake of having a couple of books on the subject, or would you just rely on the library if anyone showed an interest in reading about Hanukkah?

Why did you get the books? Are they special in some way? Hard to find? Have you checked your library to see which books they have on it? Maybe you'll end up keeping one to have on hand to answer questions.. but get rid of two that you're less fond of or have access to through the library.

I'll agree with Jodie. Keep one on hand, it's nice for quick reference.

If it is a topic you might cover again in the future with these children or later children, I'd definitely keep at least one. Also, you might consider whether they are the same or different reading levels. I find that sometimes books I have read aloud to the children I later want to assign to them as literature or history reading. So, if you might do that, and you are happy with the quality of these books, it is nice to have a few options at different reading levels on the same topic.
